Mitigation Technician

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOverview: RCR Mitigation Technicians provide emergency restoration and disaster recovery services to residential and commercial property owners. Technicians are responsible for mitigation and demolition activities, scheduling phases of work, and coordinating with subcontractors on various aspects of projects. This position answers directly to the Supervisor overseeing the location or the Director of Mitigation.Responsibilities and Duties:Effectively assess the damage and help with the initial site inspectionPrepare & operate extraction & drying equipmentHigh-level performance of water mitigation, board up, and mold remediationDemolition, including but not limited to, removing carpet, pad, flooring, drywall, insulation, etc., from the job siteResponsible for reporting accurate records and completing paperwork for each jobWilling and able to be accessible by phone and respond to after-hour/weekend emergencies, as necessary, in the on-call scheduleOut-of-town/state travel is a possibilityPhysical Demands:Ability to lift 75 LBS frequentlyWorking in confined spacesRequires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, balancing, walking, and standingDue to the nature of the work, the jobs site can often be dirty, possibly cold or wet, and sometimes unsanitaryQualifications and Skills:Related experience in Construction, Restoration, Insurance preferred, but not requiredIICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FRST, OR AMRT) are preferred but not requiredBasic knowledge of hand tools and their usesAble to pass a background checkAble to provide a valid driver's licenseFluent in English\nCompany DescriptionRumsey Construction & Restoration (RCR) is an industry leader in Columbia, SC, Charleston, SC, Greenville, SC, Rock Hill, SC, Charlotte, NC, and Augusta, GA.
