A growing precision metal manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to lead a team of up to 20 employees in a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving production, improving efficiency, developing employees, and ensuring quality and on-time customer deliveries. This job operates in a dedicated laboratory in a professional manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and develop a team of up to 20 assembly employees
• Schedule daily production activities to meet customer deadlines
• Improve productivity, quality, and workflow throughout the assembly department
• Train, mentor, and support group leaders and production employees
• Monitor safety, quality, housekeeping, and production performance
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve production issues
• Lead continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems to support production scheduling and manufacturing operations

Physical Demands

• Occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Visual acuity
• Manual Dexterity

Required Competencies

• Strong working knowledge of ERP Manufacturing systems (shop floor, production)
• Ability to lead a team of employees in problem solving efforts
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English, with focus on respect, diplomacy and empathy
• Strong leadership skills and desire to learn new skills
• Strong computer skills, including MS office products
• Detail Orientated

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
• Experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment
• ERP or MRP manufacturing system experience
• IPC-610, J-std, and IPC-620 experience/certification
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus
• Working experience with precision measuring tools: Calipers, micrometers, fixed and variable gaging
• High School Diploma
