This is a direct-hire opportunity combining aluminum TIG welding with hands-on electrical field service at power generation facilities across the United States, including nuclear and non-nuclear plants.Candidates must currently reside in Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, or Wisconsin.Compensation & BenefitsStarting Pay: $27.00/hr during the first three weeks of trainingPay After Training: $35.10/hr upon successful completion of initial trainingAdditional increases available through the Bus Duct Technician Apprenticeship Program up to 50HRMedical, Dental & Vision401(k)PTOPer diem while traveling100% employer-paid hotels, flights, and rental vehiclesPaid travel expensesWhat You'll DoThis position is approximately 80% electrical bus duct field service and 20% TIG welding, depending on project requirements.Perform aluminum TIG welding on horizontal and vertical pipe ranging from 1/8" to 1" thicknessInspect, maintain, install, and refurbish electrical bus duct systemsClean, paint, silver-plate, and refurbish bus duct componentsInstall bus duct systems, including rigging, alignment, and torquingRead blueprints, technical documents, and detailed work proceduresFollow company, customer, and site-specific safety requirementsComplete accurate field documentation and job recordsWork closely with foremen and crew members to complete projects safely and efficientlyComplete required computer-based training and testingMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentTravel & ScheduleTravel approximately 80% throughout the United StatesTypical assignments last 2–8 weeks, with some projects lasting 3–6 monthsParticipate in emergency outage response and be able to mobilize within 24 hoursApproximately 6–8 emergency calls per yearOutage schedules may include 6 days/10 hours or 7 days/12 hoursBoth day and night shifts may be requiredHeaviest workload typically occurs during spring and fall outage seasonsA REAL ID or valid passport is required for air travelQualifications2+ years of professional TIG welding experienceExperience welding aluminum or stainless steelWelding certification from an accredited school preferredValid driver's licenseOSHA 10 certification required before startingAbility to read blueprints and technical documentationComfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and industrial environmentsWilling and able to travel extensivelyAbility to become certified under company welding procedures, including SMAW, GTAW, and GMAWStrong communication and teamwork skillsBasic computer skillsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Pre-Employment RequirementsBecause this position supports critical infrastructure and federal projects, employment is contingent upon successfully completing:Criminal background checkDrug screening, including marijuanaDOT physical and obtaining a DOT Medical CardPre-placement physical examinationRequirements necessary to obtain unescorted access to nuclear power facilitiesPhysical RequirementsStand and walk for extended periodsClimb, crouch, bend, and work in industrial environmentsWork in confined spaces and varying weather conditionsLift and carry up to 50 lbs.Wear required PPETravel extensively by air and vehicleSuccessfully complete all required medical screenings and physical examinationsIf you're an experienced TIG Welder looking to build specialized electrical field-service skills while traveling across the U.S., this is an excellent opportunity to join a team with structured training, strong benefits, and a clear path for advancement.Equal Opportunity EmployerINDH
