He / She will communicate with the physician about the changes in the patients' clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology. The staff RN recognizes life threatening situation/ changes in conditions and/or responses to treatment quickly and accurately responds. The Staff RN maintains accurate and relevant record of all patient care. The Staff RN is knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies. The Staff RN actively participating in cost containment and assisting in accurate charging for patient services.QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAININGMinimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferredMust be able to communicate in English (Speak, Write)Current and valid Nevada RN License.BLS (AHA) certification requiredACLS (AHA) certification requiredPALS (AHA) certification requiredTNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Course) certification within 12 months of hire preferredENA (Emergency Nurse Association) membership within 12 months of hire preferredCEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) certification within 24 months of hire preferredSEE AMENDMENT FOR NEW GRADUATESEmployment StatusFull TimeShiftVariableEqual Employment OpportunityCompany is an equal employment opportunity employer.
