HR Business Partner and Programs Specialist

Arizona Kidney Disease and Hypertension Center (AKDHC) is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner & Programs Manager to serve as a trusted HR resource for managers and leadership. This role provides day-to-day HR guidance, manager coaching, recruitment support, employee lifecycle and leave coordination, and leadership of key employee programs. The position also partners with AKDHC’s outsourced HR provider on compliance and complex employee relations matters. Support performance management, corrective action, documentation, conflict resolution, and employee relations. Ensure consistent application of HR policies and practices. Escalate complex or high-risk matters to leadership and the outsourced HR provider. Recruitment & Hiring Partner with managers on staffing needs, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring. Support job descriptions, candidate sourcing, screening, and selection. Develop interview guides and manager training to promote effective hiring practices. Support recruitment strategies for hard-to-fill positions and track hiring metrics. Employee Lifecycle & Leave Management Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, employee transitions, and status changes. Serve as an internal resource for employee leave requests and coordinate administration with the outsourced HR provider. Identify opportunities to improve retention and the employee experience. Training & Employee Programs Develop and manage new hire orientation, onboarding, and 30/60/90-day programs. Lead preceptor training and development initiatives. Manage employee recognition, rewards, and engagement programs. Coordinate the LMS and HR training curriculum. Develop manager resources and facilitate HR-related training. Lead HR projects and track employee experience and program metrics. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience. 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations, manager coaching, recruitment, and program development. Experience with performance management, hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development. Strong communication, coaching, project management, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Healthcare or medical practice HR experience; SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification; experience working with an outsourced HR provider. HR Partnership This role serves as the internal HR liaison between AKDHC managers, leadership, and the outsourced HR provider. The position handles day-to-day HR support and program leadership while escalating specialized, compliance-related, and higher-risk matters as appropriate.
