You’ll craft compelling creative visions, present your thinking to clients, be hands on and provide art direction to designers and production teams, all while becoming a true brand expert and upholding a consistently high creative bar. You’ll help us maintain an environment that encourages expression, inclusivity, and collaboration.This role is in Culver City, CA (8559 Higiera St., Culver City, CA); hybrid role!Responsibilities:Lead the development of original, conceptual social ideas that align with brand strategy and client goalsCommunicate ideas and designs to senior members of the creative teamPartner with the Sr. Copywriter and Content Creator to bring campaigns from concept to executionTranslate briefs into compelling storytelling and visual narratives across social, digital, and emerging formatsPartner with Producers to plan photo/video shoots and manage production needsCommunicate proactively with team leads on timelines, blockers, and deliverablesStrong communication skills, both verbal and listening abilitiesStrong presentation skillsMaintain consistent creative quality and become a brand expertBe a standard-bearer for our company culture and values About YouAbility to work within brand style guides to produce work that is both original and on-brandBuild and maintain design systems, templates, and asset libraries for efficiencyExperience with both B2B and B2C marketingAnimation experience, and comfort working with and directing a motion designerExpert in (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.)Located in Los Angeles, CA, metro area The essentials:Strong conceptual portfolio demonstrating social media ideas, not just execution5–8+ years of conceptual art direction experience (in house or agency experience)Step in to concept, write up, and execute ideas when additional support is neededExpert experience in social media content and platformsAdapt quickly to shifting priorities and time-sensitive requests with multiple iterationsAbility to accept and receive constructive design feedback from senior members of the creative teamNot a must, but a plus:Bilingual (English / Spanish) Animation skills (AfterEffects) At Monks, we believe in fostering an environment where a diversity of perspectives can thrive.
