Substitute Bus Driver

Job Posting Dates: March 30, 2026 – Until Filled Title: Substitute Bus Driver (Training Provided) Reports to: Transportation Director Job Type: 2 or 4 runs per day/hourly Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Successful completion of driver training school Ability to pass a criminal background check Ability to pass a physical, including a drug test Possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) (Preferred) Job Description: Utilize map-reading skills to drive bus to transport students over specified routes according to time schedule Maintain a good driving record by complying with traffic regulations Evacuate students from school bus in case of emergency Dealing with stressful conditions in a professional manner Perform and properly complete daily pre-trip inspections Comply with discipline policies set forth in the School Code of Conduct for Transportation Show proficiency in handling and maneuvering a school bus Build a good rapport with students and parents Be a flexible team player and willing to sub on a variety of different routes when needed Other duties assigned by the Transportation Director Days/Hours: 2025-2026 School Calendar – As Needed STATEMENT OF NON-DISCRIMINATION: It is the policy of the Paw Paw Public School District that no discriminatory practices based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, height, weight, marital status, disability, genetic information or any other status covered by federal, state, or local law be allowed during any program, activity, service, or in employment.
