Job Description $5,000 Sign-On Bonus *** Location Henry Ford Detroit Department Electrophysiology Schedule 40hrs, Day Shift General Summary The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech I works as a member of the Cardiovascular Lab (CCL) team of medical professionals. Under the direct supervision, is responsible for assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures by performing Scrub or Monitor functions. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of equipment and supplies in the CCL. Responsible for patient safety in the CCL and must be able to recognize cardiac arrhythmias and respond according to emergency protocols, operate external cardiac pacemaker and defibrillator. Qualifications High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Graduate of an accredited program in Allied Health Sciences (e.g. Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, or Cardiac or Vascular Sonography, or equivalent academic program and experience.) Minimum of one (1) year clinical experience preferably in Cath Lab or in Radiology and/or registry eligible. Certifications/Licensures Required Valid BCLS certification required/ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire. Licensure or Certification in degree field preferred. Interpersonal and communication skills necessary in order to develop and maintain a wide variety of cooperative working relationships and convey information clearly and consistently through verbal and written medium.
