Quality Technician - 1st shift

Quality TechnicianCretex Medical is a leading contract manufacturer of precision components and assemblies for the medical device industry. Our customers view us as a trusted partner in the areas of injection molding, laser processing, metal stamping and device assembly. The Quality Technician will be responsible for performing advanced dimensional and visual inspections for various manufacturing processes. This role will also perform inspections using various methods and equipment, complete appropriate quality records within company and GMP guidelines, policies, and procedures.Shifts Available:1st shift: 6:00am-2:30 pm Mon-FriResponsibilitiesPerform inspections in support of first article, gage R&R, and process capability studiesAudit and train employees in the proper use of inspection equipment and documentationInterpret SPC resultsManually operate and program various precision testing equipment including but not limited to tool scope, CMM, and vision systemsEffective organizational, oral, and written communication skills to facilitate an effective working relationship with customers, suppliers, and coworkersRecommend changes to quality documentationPerform key responsibilities of a Quality InspectorRead and comply with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklistsRead, understand, and follow work instructions and standard workEnter production information into the ERP system on a timely basisAccurately record and report hours workedSupport and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirementsPartner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and financeUnderstand customer needs and the core business markets we serveEnsure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properlyQualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent3+ years of experience in quality assuranceKnowledge of inspection equipment use and maintenanceIntermediate GD&TProblem analysis and solvingManage multiple requirements and deadlinesDexterity and hand and eye coordinationAbility to use a microscope and hand toolsAbility to work in a manufacturing environmentPreferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:3 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of ISO 9001/13485Quality certificationsPay Range USD $23.08 - USD $36.49 /Hr. Pay Range Details This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions.
