Associate Director of Finance and Revenue Cycle

Job Description Summary This position provides financial oversight and leadership for the New Bolton Center Large Animal Hospital. The role supports the hospital’s revenue cycle, manages Business Office staff, coordinates workflow and plans budgets. It reports to the Senior Director of Finance – Clinical Enterprise and supports both Central Finance and hospital leadership. The position serves as a critical link between frontline operational teams and senior leadership, develops performance indicators, supports revenue cycle operations and optimizes financial processes. Job Responsibilities Revenue Cycle and Charge Capture: Partner with hospital operations to monitor capture and provide feedback to operational teams for process improvement, ensure timely billing and collections on open receivables, support Treasury functions while maintaining financial controls. Financial Monitoring and Reporting: Track, analyze and report key financial metrics such as revenue, charges, collections, expenses and resource utilization. Manage monthly financial reporting at both the hospital and service level and provide ad‑hoc reporting as requested. Budgeting/Forecasting/Decision Support: Maintain responsibility for the annual budget process and quarterly forecasts throughout the fiscal year. Provide decision‑support tools to inform operational conclusions using available data and advanced technological know‑how. Process Integrity and Improvement: Perform periodic reviews of business functions and develop or update standard operating procedures based on findings, in conjunction with hospital operations. EMR Optimization: Serve as a liaison for implementation, identify gaps and support stabilization post‑go‑live. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor of Science and 5 to 7 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A Master’s Degree is preferred. Candidates should have a strong analytical background, be proficient with spreadsheet and database software and able to manage complex tasks independently, prioritize and meet deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary. Knowledge of BEN Financials, Business Objects/Data Warehouse, Planning and other Penn systems is preferred but not required. Location Kennett Square, Pennsylvania Department / School School of Veterinary Medicine Pay Range $91,000.00 – $130,000.00 annual salary. Salary is determined based on candidate qualifications.
