We are seeking an experienced and driven Superintendent to lead on-site operations for high-profile construction projects in Long Island, NY specializing in multifamily residential, higher education, and healthcare developments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a top-ranked ENR (Engineering News-Record) contractor delivering complex, high-quality builds across diverse sectors

The Role

As a Superintendent, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage site logistics, and serve as the primary on-site leader, driving performance and accountability across all trades.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities for multifamily, higher education, and healthcare projects
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel
• Develop, maintain, and enforce project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones
• Ensure strict compliance with health & safety regulations and company standards
• Monitor quality control and ensure work is performed to contract specifications
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients
• Identify and resolve on-site issues proactively to minimize delays and cost impacts
• Conduct regular site meetings, inspections, and progress reporting

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, with a focus on multifamily, higher education, or healthcare projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and building systems (MEP, structural, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and maintain project schedules
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality control practices
• Ability to read and interpret construction xhyhwjd drawings and specifications
• Relevant degree or professional background in Construction Management or related field preferred
