The Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in supporting general dentistry procedures and ensuring compliance with all health regulations, including HIPAA standards. Title Dental hygienist Job Description Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays using appropriate aseptic techniques Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Review medical records for completeness and accuracy prior to procedures Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to prevent cross-contamination Support pediatric dentistry needs by providing gentle care tailored to children and adolescents Monitor patient comfort levels and provide reassurance during treatments Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure seamless patient care delivery This position offers an engaging environment where your expertise can make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives while advancing your professional skills within a supportive team.
