Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System.

Additional Details:

RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.

No medical marijuana cards accepted.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: 1 year CV ICU experience required. Vents, IV start, Tele, and conscious sedation required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Cardiac skill set preferred: Swans-hemodynamic interpretation, IABP, Impella, ECMO, and vasoactive drips. CRRT experience beneficial. Triage, ICP, and PA lines preferred.

Unit Details: Ratio: 2:1 in ICUs for all shifts. Adult and geriatric patient population. Rare adolescent patients ages 16-18 who are adult size/weight may be seen.

Shift & Scheduling: BJC policy: Every other weekend required. Every other weekend requirement or 6 weekend shifts per 6 week scheduled; plus holiday rotation.

Floating Requirements: Floating to multiple ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac / Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID. If ICU needs are low, they will be expected to float to inpatient floors as a staff nurse. The nursing office staffs Oncology, Neurology, Med Surg, Medicine, Trauma, Heart and Vascular, and COVID. Will float to inpatient floors when needed with ratio of no more than 1:3, may float to non-critical care units if ICU census is low, and may be utilized as a patient sitter if needed.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
