Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Healthcare staffing organization is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for an occupational health assignment in New Brunswick, New Jersey. This role provides outpatient employee health services, including injury evaluation, fitness-for-duty exams, and occupational medicine support in a collaborative clinical setting.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule: Flexible schedule, approximately 2-3 days per week
• Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Setting: Outpatient occupational health clinic

Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-placement and employment physical examinations
• Conduct return-to-work evaluations and fit-for-duty examinations
• Evaluate and manage workplace injuries and worker's compensation cases
• Order, interpret, and review diagnostic testing and other clinical studies
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with occupational health regulations

Qualifications:

• Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the State of New Jersey
• Current DEA registration
• Current CDS license
• DOT certification
• Significant occupational medicine or corporate health experience
• Experience managing worker's compensation cases

Desired Skills:

• Current BLS certification
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Experience working independently in an outpatient occupational health setting
• Knowledge of occupational medicine regulations and workplace safety standards
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
