Insurance Company Part-Time Bookkeeper

Job Description

Record and categorize daily financial transactions. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other financial statements. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Prepare and process invoices, vendor payments, and customer receipts. Maintain the general ledger and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date. Assist with monthly and year-end closing activities. Prepare financial reports for management. Monitor cash flow and maintain expense records. Assist with payroll-related bookkeeping, as needed. Maintain organized financial files and supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and internal controls. Communicate professionally with vendors and internal team members regarding financial matters.

Must Haves

Experience working in the insurance, financial services, or professional services industry. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience with payroll processing. Has experience in AI for Financial Analysis. Familiarity with budgeting and financial reporting. Experience with payment platforms such as Bill.com, Stripe, or ACH processing. Bookkeeping certification (CB, CPB, or equivalent). Experience supporting multiple companies or entities. Previous experience working remotely.
