Travel GI/Endoscopy

American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy Technician for an outpatient endoscopy center, requiring Endo Tech certification and BLS.

Job Details

• Outpatient endoscopy center setting,
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM,
• 1:1 patient ratio,
• Procedures include colonoscopy and EGD,

Job Requirements

• Endo Tech certification required,
• BLS certification required,
• Minimum 2 years of experience required,
• License required if applicable,
• Experience with procedural assistance including biopsy assistance, procedure setup, and room turnover,
• Experience cleaning and caring for colonoscopes, EGD scopes, and flex sigmoidoscopes,
• Experience with High-Level Disinfection (HLD) procedures,
• Experience with equipment including dilators, endoscopes, ERBE units, polyp snares, and washer/sterilizers,
• Knowledge of infection control and Universal Protocol (Time Out) procedures,
• Experience with specimen handling and labeling,

Additional Information

• Assist physicians and healthcare providers with endoscopy procedures for diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease,
• Distribute supplies and perform equipment maintenance, decontamination, and setup,
• Restock room supplies and supply room carts,
• Close and turn over procedure rooms at end of day,
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and facility policies to ensure patient privacy and safety,
• Accepts local candidates at a local rate,
• 50-mile radius rule applies,
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract,
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler,
• Compliance labs must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing
