Nurse Practitioner

Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in OhioWe are seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Ohio with a current NP certification to provide advanced patient care services. The NP will create and implement patient care plans, perform advanced nursing duties, and provide clinical oversight to other healthcare staff. This role includes routine and acute care management, chronic disease monitoring, and preventive care interventions.Schedule:16–24 hours per week (flexible 1st shift)Option to work full-time by splitting hours between two sites if desiredKey ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Clinical Duties:Monitor patient progress and intervene in the course of chronic illnessesConduct routine physical exams to evaluate chronic conditions and diagnose new issuesPrescribe medications and administer treatments for acute and chronic conditionsComplete discharge planning and follow-up care for patients with medical or chronic care needsPerform minor surgical procedures within scope of training and competencyEvaluate necessity for specialty referrals and review consult recommendationsOrder and interpret lab, imaging, and other diagnostic testsAdminister vaccinations and inoculationsDocumentation & Records Management:Maintain accurate and complete medical records according to agency policies and professional standardsDocument assessments, diagnostic impressions, treatment plans, and follow-up parametersCollaborate with the supervising physician or medical director for clinical quality oversightLeadership & Staff Collaboration:Provide clinical direction and guidance to registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, phlebotomists, and other caregiversServe as a resource for patients and families regarding health maintenance, promotion, and risk factorsProfessional Development & Participation:Attend professional meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives as requiredParticipate in committees and in-service training relevant to NP roleRequired Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong clinical judgment and patient assessment skillsKnowledge of advanced nursing procedures and patient care standardsProficiency in medical equipment (e.g., stethoscope, BP cuff, EKG, otoscope, surgical instruments)Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state/federal nursing lawsAbility to document care thoroughly and maintain confidentialityStrong interpersonal skills for collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teamsMinimum QualificationsActive Ohio RN license and NP certificationCompletion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner programOhio certificate of authority to practice as an advanced practice nurseOhio prescriptive authority in accordance with ORC 4723Required Documents / Credentials:Current Ohio RN or NP LicenseBoard Certification (ANCC or equivalent)Certificate of Authority / Certificate to Prescribe (as required by Ohio Board of Nursing)CPR / BLS Certification (Healthcare Professional level)Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) CertificationCOVID-19 Vaccination Card or Exemption Letter
