Lead Software Engineer, Infrastructure Platforms

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal software engineering training or certification, with at least 5 years of applied experience
• Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages
• Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery, and all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methods, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Demonstrated expertise in software applications and technical processes in an area such as cloud, AI, machine learning, or mobile technology
• In-depth knowledge of financial services and related IT systems
• Experience designing and scaling agentic AI-enabled development approaches across teams or functions, including human review, traceability, auditability, and secure handling of sensitive data
• Strong understanding of responsible AI controls at scale, including security, resiliency, data sensitivity, and risk-based governance, with the ability to advise senior leaders on safe adoption, reuse, and measurable outcomes
• Practical cloud-native experience
• Preferred: experience with infrastructure architecture, AWS EKS or GCP GKE, multiple cloud platforms, industry technology trends and practices, and databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, or Cockroach

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions, taking thoughtful approaches to complex technical problems
• Build secure, high-quality production code and review or debug code written by others
• Identify ways to automate or prevent recurring issues and improve application and system stability
• Set strategy and operating standards for agentic AI-enabled engineering across a portfolio, using authorized enterprise tools to improve delivery speed, reliability, and code quality
• Establish safeguards for validation, security, resiliency, and reuse across teams and functions
• Use Software Development Life Cycle tools, including authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation at scale
• Lead evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectures, technical capabilities, and suitability for existing systems
• Lead Software Engineering communities of practice to encourage awareness and adoption of emerging technologies
