Travel Physical Therapist

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least one year of relevant experience to evaluate and treat patients of all ages in an outpatient therapy setting.

Job Details

• Outpatient therapy department setting,
• M-F schedule, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with variable hours, 40 hours per week,
• No weekend or holiday shifts required,
• No floating required,
• Treats patients of all ages, addressing orthopedic and neurologic conditions,
• Uses therapy EMR for daily documentation and charging,

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required,
• Current IL PT license required,
• BLS certification (AHA) required,
• Minimum one year of relevant physical therapy experience required,
• Experience with therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis,
• Skilled in objective testing for range of motion, strength, and functional task performance,
• Experience with taping for stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition of movement,
• Experience with therapy EMR documentation,
• License required if applicable,

Additional Information

• Evaluates and treats patients, modifying the plan of care as appropriate based on patient response and evidence,
• Serves as a role model and clinical resource for staff and students,
• Designs individualized plans of care integrating goals, treatment, and discharge planning,
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, and students using effective teaching methods,
• Performs patient screening and determines need for therapy services when applicable,
• Communicates with referring providers regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations,
• Monitors and provides feedback on care delivered by support personnel,
• Must maintain safe and appropriate body mechanics during patient transfers and care,
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates not accepted,
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
