Daniel B. Krieg, Inc. is hiring a full-time Experienced Sealcoating Crew Leader who can lead and run a pavement maintenance crew in Harrisburg, PA.

THE GREAT PAY

We offer $32 – $35 per hour , depending on experience, plus opportunities to earn prevailing wage on highway and public works projects.

WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ENTAIL?

The season runs April through November. Your typical day will start between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM . Construction schedules are often weather-dependent, so flexibility is important. Due to project schedules and weather conditions, overtime and weekend work are required during peak periods. While crews do not work seven days every week, team members must be available to work overtime, Saturdays, and Sundays when project schedules require it.

As an Experienced Sealcoating Crew Leader, you will lead a small crew performing commercial pavement maintenance projects throughout the region while working alongside your team in the field.

Responsibilities include:

• Running daily job sites and directing crew members throughout the day
• Communicating the daily work plan, schedule, and expectations to your crew
• Operating non-CDL truck with spray bar and pavement maintenance equipment
• Performing crack filling using hot rubber equipment (Crafco)
• Ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards
• Overseeing equipment use, job site setup, and crew safety practices
• Communicating with the office regarding job progress, material needs, and scheduling
• Interacting professionally with customers or site managers when necessary
• Assisting with field measurements, job planning, and estimating
• Training and guiding crew members to help them improve their skills
• Maintaining trucks, equipment, and materials

EXPERIENCED SEALCOATING CREW LEADER REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Experience in sealcoating or pavement maintenance
• Comfortable running a small crew and directing daily work activities
• Ability to communicate clearly with crew members, customers, and the office
• Punctual, shows up daily, and follows the schedule well
• Responsible for equipment, job site safety, and quality of work
• Dependable, hardworking, and takes pride in producing high-quality work
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and is comfortable working outdoors in summer heat

Experience operating sealcoating equipment, crack fill kettles, and cleaning equipment is strongly preferred. Leadership experience running construction or asphalt crews is highly valued as well.
