Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 6:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio for an adult population
• Monitor and manage patients with common diagnoses including CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, subdural hematoma, and generalized weakness
• Administer and manage common drips and medications including PCA pumps, Cardizem, and insulin
• Perform telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
• Conduct hourly rounding and maintain a strong focus on patient responsiveness and experience
• Float to medical-surgical areas as needed based on unit census and staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Telemetry competency
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or intermediate care setting
• Ability to manage a high-acuity patient load efficiently and independently
• Strong collaborative and team-oriented work style
