Maintenance Technician

POSITION TITLE: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I

DEPARTMENT: MAINTENANCE

REPORTS TO: MAINTENANCE MANAGER

JOB FUNCTION:

Executes the assigned duties as necessary to support technical issues required to resolve machinery maintenance and other requirements.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 1] Involved in application issues and supports the department with technical related skills.
• 2] Reports to management observed technical issues and problems experienced and perceived action required to resolve these matters.
• 3] Must have an good knowledge of industrial maintenance.
• 4] Must have moderate mechanical background or moderate electrical/electronics background to include PLC's.
• 5] Must have a good understanding of the processes.
• 6] Must understand and support the predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
• 7] Demonstrate good problem-solving skills and at all times promote safety and quality.
• 8] Must have a good understanding of plant utilities.
• 9] Maintain hand tools and use them properly.
• 10] Must demonstrate basic trouble-shooting skills.

EDUCATION:

High school education required. Prefer 2 years of technical education in an engineering-related field.

EXPERIENCE:

Entry level - 2 years experience in industrial maintenance.

SUPERVISION:

Moderate supervision received. No supervisory responsibility. THE ABOVE COVERS THE MOST SIGNIFICANT DUTIES, BUT DOES NOT EXCLUDE OTHER ASSIGNMENTS REQUIRING EQUIVALENT OR LESSER SKILLS.
