Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Provide advanced nursing care in the Emergency Department, managing a diverse patient population with a focus on stroke, sepsis, and trauma cases. Deliver high-quality patient assessment, treatment, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on a fast-paced unit.

Responsibilities:

• Administer emergency nursing interventions and procedures according to unit protocols and patient needs.
• Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with providers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient care accurately and comprehensively using Meditech system.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety guidelines, and certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and CPI.
• Float to psych pod or other ED units as required, supporting overall staffing needs.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI.
• Demonstrated proficiency in sepsis, stroke management, and emergency procedures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling and float requirements.
• Experience with Meditech documentation and use of Hillrom, Stryker, GE, and LifePak equipment.
