This key leadership role will drive operational excellence, productivity improvement, quality enhancement, schedule reliability, and cost reduction through the deployment of Lean principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and a culture of problem-solving.The position partners closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Executive Leadership to deploy a unified Lean operating system that improves performance from design and fabrication through installation and commissioning as well as in facility operations and maintenance.This role requires a highly visible leader who is comfortable working on active construction sites, in manufacturing and operating environments, and with executive leadership teams to achieve strategic business objectives.ResponsibilitiesHelp develop and execute the enterprise Lean strategy aligned with company growth and operational goals.Lead deployment of lean principles into our construction job sites, collaborating with project executives, project managers, superintendents, and field leadership to improve project delivery (labor productivity, schedule adherence, and field execution consistency).Coordinate external consulting support in our job sites as needed in support of lean transformation. Support lean implementation efforts within manufacturing and modular assembly facilities and all other areas of M.C. Dean as required. Facilitate alignment between manufacturing and field operations to maximize prefabrication and modularization benefits.Serve as an internal subject matter expert for Lean principles.Drive implementation of critical lean tools and methodologies including Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, Daily Management Systems, Pull Systems/Kanban, 5S and Workplace Organization, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Root Cause Problem Solving. Evaluate and implement applicable Lean Construction methodologies including Last Planner® System, Pull Planning, Constraint Management, Visual Project Controls, Daily Huddles, Percent Plan Complete (PPC) Measurement, Continuous Improvement Cycles. Coach leaders at all levels on Lean leadership behaviors and problem-solving techniques.
