Respiratory Therapist

Position/Specialty: RRT

Shift: 3x12, Nights, 7 PM to 7 AM

On-call is not required. Weekend requirement is every other weekend. Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs. Floating may be required to sister facilities due to census and/or staffing needs. There is no accommodation for block scheduling. Locals may be accepted on a case-by-case basis, at 10% less than the posted bill rate. All requested time off must be included at the time of submission. The facility is allowed to call off one shift per two weeks.

All employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season from June through November. Travelers should ensure that they do not confirm a new or extended assignment during hurricane season. Travelers must provide a radiation badge, which must be provided by the agency. Previous charge experience is preferred. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Travelers should be aware that all travelers and staff may be subject to emergency response duties during hurricane season. RTO guidelines must be adhered to during submission. Travelers should not have any time off planned that will prevent them from completing pre-start compliance on time. MUSC prioritizes non-local candidates first within a 60-mile radius for travelers. Travelers must have an active license upon reporting to the facility.
