Job Description RN – Long Term Care at Providence Child Center in Portland, Oregon. Full‑time night shift position. Hours are 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. (three 12‑hour shifts) with rotating weekends and holidays. Our Long‑Term Care unit within the Child Center has 46 beds serving both pediatric and adult patients. We care for a diverse population of medically fragile individuals—from children with complex developmental and neurological conditions to adults with chronic illnesses and disabilities. Some residents require long‑term ventilator support or tracheostomy care and all need assistance with activities of daily living. Our unit is known for exceptional continuity of care and an interdisciplinary approach with respiratory therapy, rehab, and social work. Extra Incentives Night shift differential – $4.50 per hour Weekend shift differential – $1.40 per hour $6,000 hiring bonus offered for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment. Lyra Caregiver Assistance program – Up to 25 counseling or coaching sessions per eligible member per year Responsibilities Accountable for direct and indirect quality care for resident, according to the individualized needs of the resident, following the nursing process and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Accepts professional development as an integral part of nursing practice. Coordinates resident care activities with other members of the health‑care team and supervises nursing care given. Required Qualifications Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License. Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association. Upon hire: In compliance with the Department of Human Services (DHS), a criminal background check is required for this position. Preferred Qualifications 1 year experience in long‑term care. Compensation Pay range: $42.04 – $65.27 per hour. Additional compensation such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities may be available.
