Athletic Trainer

Location: La Costa Canyon High School – 1 Maverick Way, Carlsbad, CA 92009 Athletic Trainer Job Summary Under the supervision of the Assistant Principal and guidance and direction from the Athletic Director, the Athletic Trainer provides assistance to student athletes in the prevention, evaluation, care and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Compensation and Schedule Position Type: Full‑time Salary: $30.07 to $40.30 per hour (plus 3% shift differential for evening hours) Work Hours: 11 months (238 days) / 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM / 40 hours per week Weekend work may be necessary and hours will vary depending on athletic events. Requirements / Qualifications Meets degree requirements needed for certification by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer. One year of experience providing first aid, preventative and rehabilitative treatment to athletes. Valid certification by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer. Valid First Aid and Adult CPR certification from an accredited organization. Valid California driver license. Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
