Healthcare Tech Senior Associate - Epic Payer Platform

Huron is a consulting firm that helps healthcare organizations optimize their digital capabilities. We are looking for a Senior Associate to support Epic systems as part of our Epic EHR team. As a Senior Associate, you will work with a team of technical and project management consultants to support integrated initiatives that optimize Epic systems, driving sustainable, enterprise-wide transformation. You’ll collaborate with cross‑functional teams and client stakeholders to deliver innovative, data‑driven solutions that address complex digital challenges. Your role will be pivotal in aligning Epic capabilities, enhancing interoperability, streamlining workflows, and improving patient outcomes. You’ll cultivate trusted client relationships, mentor team members, and foster a culture of inclusion and collaboration. Responsibilities Partner with a team of healthcare, technical, and project management consultants to ensure seamless integration, data migration, and system performance of Epic systems. Leverage technical expertise in Epic modules to provide support that optimizes system functionality in workflow and technology to improve hospital operations and financial outcomes. Provide guidance and recommendations on Epic applications, offering suggestions and participating in discussions on operational and technology improvements. Identify opportunities for system optimization and enhancement to improve efficiency and user satisfaction. Requirements Experience in the implementation and/or support lifecycle of Epic’s Payer Platform. Strong understanding of payer operations, claims, eligibility, and related workflows. 3+ years of Epic experience providing Epic consulting in hospitals and healthcare systems. Ability to gather requirements, lead discussions, and translate operational needs into Epic solutions. Experience with system build, testing, and workflow optimization. Project management experience with Epic implementations. Willingness and ability to travel when necessary; at times, remote high‑level services may be required. Current permanent U.S. work authorization. Preferences Undergraduate degree (e.g., BA, BS). Epic Payer Platform certification (highly preferred). Additional Epic certifications (e.g., Tapestry, Benefits Engine, Claims, or other relevant modules). Experience working in payer organizations or health systems with payer operations. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills. Benefits The estimated base salary range for this position will vary based on multiple factors, including specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. The position is eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans, which include medical, dental and vision coverage, and other wellness programs.
