Associate Attorney

We are a well-established, "AV" rated litigation firm founded in 1970. We are seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its thriving defense practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take ownership of cases, gain significant courtroom experience, and work alongside a team of accomplished litigators handling complex and high-exposure matters. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation defense and be comfortable managing cases through all phases of litigation. Responsibilities Independently manage a caseload from inception through resolution Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances Develop litigation strategy and evaluate case exposure Communicate directly with insurance carriers, clients, and opposing counsel Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial proceedings Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and reporting Qualifications J.D.
