Key Responsibilities of the RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

• Demonstrate proficiency in patient care by applying the nursing process: assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Consult with staff, physicians, and management on nursing issues and hospital policies
• Promote positive public relations and present self professionally in community service programs
• Problem-solve patient/family issues to positive conclusions
• Demonstrate effective communication skills with a diverse population
• Practice five rights of medication administration and manage time efficiently
• Maintain professional competency and participate in quality activities
• Act as a patient advocate and respect confidentiality and cultural beliefs

Requirements of the RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• RN License in the state of NM required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Verbal CPI required (can accept CPI Blue Card)
