Este programa busca aumentar la participación electoral y el compromiso cívico en Belmont Cragin, Logan Square, Irving Park y los vecindarios cercanos, y asegurar que se escuche cada voz de la comunidad. En Solidarity Strategies trabajamos para elegir a candidatos demócratas e impulsar el cambio progresista. Lo hacemos organizando desde la base y hablando cara a cara con los votantes.
Sobre el puesto
Buscamos canvassers apasionados, extrovertidos y responsables para unirse a nuestro equipo de campo en el Northwest Side. Como canvasser, hablarás directamente con los votantes en sus puertas, compartirás información sobre la campaña y recopilarás datos importantes con herramientas como MiniVAN.
En esta zona se habla principalmente español, así que la mayoría de tus conversaciones serán en español. Buscamos personas que se sientan cómodas pasando del inglés al español y que conozcan la comunidad con la que van a hablar.
Es un puesto de nivel inicial y no necesitas experiencia previa. Ofrecemos capacitación pagada, horarios flexibles y varios turnos.
Lo que harás
Ir de puerta en puerta en los vecindarios asignados
Hablar con votantes en inglés y en español y compartir información sobre la campaña
Recopilar y registrar datos con precisión en MiniVAN
Entregar reportes diarios y reportarte con tu supervisor/a
Representar a la campaña y sus valores con profesionalismo
Realizar otras tareas que te asigne el/la Director/a de Campo o los Organizadores de Campo
Lo que buscamos
Español fluido y conversacional, y la confianza para llevar una conversación completa con un votante en español
Excelentes habilidades de comunicación y confianza para hablar con personas nuevas
Facilidad para hablar con hogares donde se mezclan idiomas y generaciones
Una persona amable, responsable y detallista
Disposición para trabajar al aire libre con cualquier clima
Habilidad con la tecnología y con el uso del celular para ingresar datos y navegar
Se valora mucho tener raíces en Belmont Cragin, Logan Square, Irving Park o sus alrededores, o conocer bien la zona
Capacidad para resolver problemas y planear rutas eficientes
Requisitos
Tener 18 años o más
Ser bilingüe (inglés y español)
Tener autorización para trabajar en EE. UU.
Tener un celular con datos móviles
Contar con transporte confiable para ir y volver de tu zona asignada (sirve la CTA, un servicio de viajes compartidos, bicicleta o vehículo propio)
Tener disponibilidad flexible de 12 horas o más por semana
Tener un perfil activo en redes sociales (Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.) y estar dispuesto/a a usarlo temporalmente para compartir contenido de la campaña
