The candidate must be a licensed PE with a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering and five to ten years of related experience. The candidate should have experience working with process engineering knowledge and application to water and wastewater treatment facilities. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment.Typical responsibilities include:Provide technical planning, biological process and mechanical design and construction support on various water and wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects.Prepare engineering calculations, run process models (i.e. Excel spreadsheet, Biowin, GPS-X, etc.) and support analysis of alternatives. Utilize effective technical writing skills to prepare technical memoranda to document alternative analyses, basis of design, business case evaluations, P&ID reports etc.Prepare design reports and construction plans for treatment plants and pump stations using local and state standardsPrepare/assist with specifications and permit submittalsAssist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasksMonitor task budget and progressDocument design changes and communicationsConduct on-site inspections and technical guidance for start-up as neededPrepare project status and other reportsAssist in the preparation of proposalsAttend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.Possess strong written and verbal communication skillsMaintain excellent client relationsMaintain a safe working environmentParticipate in the Florida Water Environment Association, or similar organization as a committee member.Publish and present papers at state and national conferences. Serve as an active member in the Wade Trim Water and Wastewater Treatment PracticeEducation:Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental EngineeringSkills/Experience:5-10 years of related experience requiredLicensed Professional Engineer requiredExperience working with large-scale piping, valve, pumping systems, and treatment technologiesDemonstrated knowledge of water and wastewater treatment facilities is a plusExperience developing detailed design plans for treatment projects is a plusExpertise in more than one area of conventional activated sludge wastewater treatment liquid and solid processes including fundamentals of nitrification and denitrification systems, chemical or biological phosphorous removal, secondary and tertiary treatment including high rate disinfection systems, solids handling and biosolids treatment is a plusExperience in assisting with sales efforts for large scale projects is a plusStrong written and verbal skillsAbout Wade Trim:Wade Trim is committed to maximizing the value of infrastructure investments.
