Be an integral part of delivering exceptional patient care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Direct and coordinate personalized nursing care for patients, ensuring adherence to the highest nursing practice standards. Graduate from an NLN accredited nursing program. Preferred: One year of experience in a healthcare setting as a Registered Nurse. Must hold a valid Registered Professional Nurse license in the State of Alaska. Current BLS certification is required. Ability to operate office equipment such as computers, telephones, fax machines, and copiers. Knowledge of medical equipment, including EKG and cystoscopy systems. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Understand nursing practices as outlined in Alaska statute. Cognitive and technical expertise to manage patient care effectively. Willingness to maintain flexibility in work schedule with the ability to act independently within defined limits. Utilize the nursing process proficiently to provide comprehensive patient care. Administer treatments and medications while interpreting diagnostic tests. Provide education to patients, families, and significant others, while collaborating with various healthcare professionals. Possess a solid understanding of medical terminology. Basic EKG and nursing skills are essential. Ability to analyze, interpret, and document actions involved in care delivery. Competence in following guidelines and procedures. Capable of presenting information clearly and addressing inquiries from management, clients, and the public. Theoretical knowledge of nursing processes, care management, and continuity of care is crucial. Proficient in basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rates, ratios, and percentages). Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various types of instructions. Supervise unit secretaries and PCTs collaboratively with the Charge Nurse. Monday to Friday schedule. Must be flexible for potential coverage requirements. Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
