Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:Parsons is seeking an experienced Director– Water/Wastewater to support and lead the planning, design, and execution of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong technical and project leadership experience across collection systems, pump stations, distribution systems, and treatment processes.The selected candidate must be based in or willing to work from Austin, Houston, or Dallas, Texas, and must be comfortable attending onsite meetings, visiting project sites, and traveling as required to support clients and project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support to water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning through design, permitting, procurement, and construction support.Serve as the subject matter specialist on current/future water/wastewater projects.Support PM on developing project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management activities.Oversee and coordinate technical teams involved in:Collection systemsPump stationsWater distribution systemsWater and wastewater treatment processesSupport business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and relationship management.Attend onsite client meetings, coordination meetings, and field visits as needed.Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and client standards.Provide mentorship and direction to junior engineers and project staff.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.Monitor project performance and proactively resolve issues that may affect delivery.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline. 20+ years of related work experience andDemonstrated experience managing projects involving:Collection systemsPump stationsDistribution systemsWater/wastewater treatment processesExperience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing client relationships.Strong understanding of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure design and delivery.Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project resources effectively.Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to attend onsite meetings and travel as required.Preferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Texas, or ability to obtain Texas licensure through reciprocity.Prior experience working with municipal clients in Texas.Experience with rehabilitation, capital improvement programs, and infrastructure upgrades.Familiarity with permitting and regulatory coordination in Texas.Strong business development and proposal support experience.Work Location & TravelCandidate must be located in or able to work from:Austin, TXHouston, TXDallas, TXThis role requires:Attendance at onsite meetingsPeriodic site visitsTravel as needed for project and client supportSecurity Clearance Requirement:NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
