DIRECTOR OF EXTERNAL RELATIONS

PROP (People Reaching Out to Other People) is seeking an experienced Director of External Relations to join an innovative and passionate nonprofit team, managing all aspects of fundraising and communications for the organization. At PROP, we believe that no neighbor should face hunger or financial hardship alone. POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of External Relations is responsible for shaping and leading the organization's external engagement strategy, including donor engagement and solicitation, and working closely with the team on communications, public relations, community partnerships, and brand stewardship. As a member of the leadership team, this individual will help tell the story of our mission, strengthen relationships with current and prospective supporters, and position the organization as a trusted community resource and leader in addressing food insecurity and financial instability. The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator, strategic thinker, and relationship builder who can translate impact into compelling stories that move people to action. In addition to leading fundraising efforts the Director of External Relations leads the development and execution of a comprehensive communications strategy to advance the mission of PROP. This role is responsible for increasing community awareness, strengthening donor engagement, elevating the organization’s brand, and sharing compelling stories that inspire support for our mission. In conjunction with the communications team, establish annual plans, objectives and performance metrics and manage the organization’s brand identity, voice, and reputation.
