Responsibilities As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you help patients get well. You are the person who can bring their power back. In doing this, you will implement occupational therapy programs and activities, follow developed recovery plans, and deliver therapy treatments. You address the whole patient and see them as an individual, executing a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities and independence. You are adaptable to the needs of the patient and find joy in the variety of the work and the settings. You collaborate with peers and facilitate referrals to ensure patients receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program according to AOTA & ACOTE standards. Initial certification obtained from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.
