# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – North Carolina**Start Date:** September 7, 2026 **Location:** Western North Carolina **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Every other weekend required; rotating shifts to meet department needs; no block scheduling**Highlights:**- 101-bed Emergency Department at a flagship Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center- High-volume facility serving over 100,000 visits annually with state-of-the-art equipment and robotics program- Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients; support from dedicated techs, unit clerks, and cardiac monitoring staff- Cerner documentation system with Baxter pumps and GE monitors- Float within all sections of the Emergency Department to gain diverse experience- Magnet-designated facility recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals and awarded "A" Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade**Requirements:**- Active North Carolina RN license or ability to obtain- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting- Previous experience in a Level II Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ visits) preferred- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire- Demonstrated ability to provide real-time coaching, feedback, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment- Commitment to patient experience standards including AIDET and respectful, compassionate care**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**Join a collaborative, welcoming team known for exceptional teamwork and dedication to serving a vibrant, multicultural community representing over 120 languages.
