Experience: Minimum of 2 years required, recent in-patient experience preferred
License: Certification as a Dietitian-Nutritionist required
Certifications: Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian required
Must-Have:
- Recent in-patient experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition
- Ability to provide nutrition education
- Experience with food/drug interactions
- Skills in nutritional assessment and follow-up care
Description:
Monitors patients for food/drug interactions.
Provides education on food/drug interactions and records findings.
Consults with physicians regarding appropriate diet modifications.
Screens and assesses patients accurately and timely based on levels of care.
Determines patients' nutritional needs and provides follow-up care.
Interviews patients and/or their families to obtain a history of food habits and preferences.
Interprets laboratory, physical, and social data in the medical record as it applies to nutrition care.
Records patient's diet instructions and assesses the patient's understanding of the diet.
Modifies patient menus as needed.
Weekends and holidays may be required, generally 1 or 2 weekends per month.
Interviews may be conducted via Webex or in person.
