Job Description

A law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling complex civil disputes and consumer-related claims. This position offers involvement in all stages of a case, from evaluating potential claims and gathering records through discovery, trial preparation, and resolution.

The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and comfortable balancing substantive legal work with the administrative support needed to keep cases moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Support attorneys with case investigation, development, and management throughout the litigation process.

• Conduct client intake, collect supporting information, and follow up on missing records or documentation.
\n
• Maintain regular client communication regarding case updates, document requests, and outstanding items.
\n
• Organize electronic case files and ensure correspondence, records, and other materials are saved accurately.
\n
• Calendar and monitor filing deadlines, hearings, depositions, and discovery obligations.
\n
• Prepare pleadings, correspondence, discovery documents, subpoenas, notices, and other legal materials under attorney supervision.
\n
• Assist with electronic filings in state and federal courts.
\n
• Coordinate document collection, review, and production during discovery.
\n
• Review and summarize records, develop case timelines, and organize evidence for attorney review.
\n
• Prepare exhibits, binders, and supporting materials for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
\n
• Coordinate scheduling and logistics with clients, counsel, court personnel, experts, and outside vendors.
\n
• Monitor case progress and proactively follow up on pending tasks.
\n
• Provide document preparation and administrative support, including scanning, copying, and organizing case materials.
\n
• Protect confidential information and assist with additional projects as needed.
\n

Required Qualifications

• Previous paralegal experience supporting civil litigation matters.
\n
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail when preparing documents and maintaining case records.
\n
• Professional communication skills and a client-focused approach.
\n
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a legal team.
\n
• Proficiency with computer applications and the ability to learn case and document management systems.
\n
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a busy practice.
\n
• Willingness to assist with both substantive casework and administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
\n
• Familiarity with federal litigation and court electronic filing systems.
\n
• Experience supporting complex civil matters, consumer protection claims, or disputes involving financial services.
\n
• Experience organizing substantial document collections and supporting discovery productions.
