Histology Lab And Morgue TechnicianDevelops and monitors the work activities in the Histology Lab and the Morgue. Performs routine histological activities of receiving, preparing, and processing surgical specimens for patients.Required:Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program, or an Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.Certified as an HT/HTL (ASCP) or eligible to take the HT/HTL (ASCP) exam. Certification eligible applicants must pass examination within eighteen (18) months after school graduation or after moving to the state of Georgia.Two (2) years' experience in a pathology laboratory.Attention to detail, good physical dexterity, and good written and oral communication skills.All applicants must submit to and pass a Color-Acuity screening Test.Preferred:Computer keyboard and information system experience.Immuno chemistry experience and/or training.Bachelor's degree in science, plus successful completion of a formal histology tech program
