Certified Public Accountant

A well-established commercial construction company with over 40 years of experience is seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with construction industry expertise. The company operates across Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, supporting large-scale commercial projects with a strong reputation for quality, stability, and growth. Key Responsibilities Manage job costing, budgeting, and cost code development for multiple construction projects. Prepare financial reports and Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules for stakeholders, lenders, and bonding companies. Monitor subcontractor and vendor contracts, payment applications, lien releases, and joint check agreements. Handle construction-specific tax planning, including percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and multi-state tax compliance. Support internal and external audits by reconciling project financials and maintaining strong internal controls. Forecast cash flow and provide financial insights to support project profitability. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Active CPA license preferred. CCIFP (Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional) designation is a plus. 3–5+ years of accounting or finance experience in commercial, general contracting, or heavy civil construction. Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, construction accounting principles, and construction accounting software. Paid health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
