Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart specialty position in a healthcare facility. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties in accordance with established standards and state regulations. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, provide health education, support therapy and treatment, and ensure proper documentation. Flexibility to float to other departments within scope and to be on-call during scheduled shifts may be required to meet operational needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour day shifts with variable hours; must be willing and able to flex to General Operating Room shifts. On-call availability required.
• Required Qualifications:
  • ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) or higher from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
  • BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with at least 0 years minimum experience specified.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in surgical or open heart procedures.
• Additional Information:
  • Position involves performing sterile procedures and using surgical instrumentation.
  • Skills include cardiac care, nursing care, health counseling, therapy and treatment execution, delegated medical functions, patient referrals, documentation, and surgical support.
