Join Our Dynamic Progressive Care Unit Team!

Job Description:


- Shift: 07:00-19:00
- Location: Chattanooga, TN
- Unit Name: Progressive Care Unit
- Number of Beds: 29
- Patient Ratios: 4:1

Unit Staffing Description:
- Dayshift: 1 unit secretary and 2-3 PCTs (varies by census)
- Nightshift: 2-3 PCTs (varies by census)

Equipment You'll Use:
- Welch Allyn dynamaps
- Phillips telemetry
- Phillips MP2
- Pyxis
- Alaris pumps
- Hill-Rom beds
- iMobile devices

Documentation System: Meditech

Scheduling Requirements:
- 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Self-scheduling options available
- Schedule finalized 2 weeks in advance
- Block scheduling for night shifts can be accommodated

Floating Policy:
- Travel RNs float first
- Rotation based on oldest float date

Patient Experience Requirements:
- Heavy cardiac patient population
- Q6H head-to-toe assessments
- Care for complex cases such as sepsis, stroke, myocardial infarction, heart failure, and more

Hiring Profile Requested Skill Set:
- Cardiac/telemetry experience
- PCU and/or critical care experience
- Advanced skills:
- IV insertion
- Chest tube management
- DHT insertion/management
- Tracheostomy experience
- CVC management
- EKG
- Foley management

Procedures Performed on Unit:
- Foley placement
- IV insertion
- Wound vac management
- DKA management
- EKGs
- DHT/NG placement
- Patient ambulation
- ADLs

Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS

Dress Code: Navy scrubs

Unit Guidelines/Policies: Provided during onboarding
