Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community - San Diego, CA

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Therapeutic Area Specialist for cardiovascular medicine in San Diego to drive adoption of BMS products among healthcare providers. The role combines field-based scientific engagement with account management, requiring expertise in product promotion and fair-balanced clinical dialogue with physicians and practice staff.
Responsibilities
- Promote approved BMS cardiovascular indications to meet sales targets in defined territory
- Build scientific expertise in assigned products and develop comprehensive territory/account plans
- Conduct in-office presentations and scientific discussions with healthcare providers on label-consistent information
- Organize external speaker programs and coordinate logistics with approved speakers
- Gather customer insights and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance healthcare provider experience
Requirements
- Advanced scientific degree or 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotechnology/healthcare sales experience
- Demonstrated ability to communicate scientific and clinical data accurately to physicians
- Strong track record building credibility with healthcare providers and office staff
- Cardiovascular disease experience preferred
- Proven account management and sales performance meeting or exceeding goals
- Cross-functional collaboration skills with positive team mindset
