As the Air Force's leader for National-to-Tactical capability development, AFRL collaborates with leading experts across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, National Laboratories, industry, inter-agency, academia, and partner nations.Key Responsibilities:Build and deploy helm charts to Kubernetes clustersDevelop GitLab CI/CD pipelines to build, scan, publish, and deploy containers and helm charts.Troubleshoot failed deployments and pipelines.Containerize custom applications.Design high-level architecture for cloud-native networks and systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support a variety of tech stacksWork Environment:Location: Colorado Springs, CO – Hybrid or OnsiteTravel Requirements: MinimalWorking Hours: FlexibleQualifications:Required:Security Clearance: Must have an active U.S. government TS/SCI security clearance, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtainEducation: B.S. in Computer Science. Other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience or certification.1+ years of experience building helm charts and Kubernetes API objects.1+ years of experience writing Dockerfiles and containerizing applications.3+ years of experience with GNU/Linux commands, shell navigation, and Git version control.Ability to research and solve complex technical problems independently.Desired:Competence in building pipelines, preferably with GitLab.Experience delivering a cloud native application.Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.Familiarity with OAuth2, OIDC flows, or KeyCloak.Experience with IaC tools, especially Terraform.Experience deploying to air-gapped networks.Experience with Cert Manager, OpenSSL, and Public Key Infrastructure.Experience with event streaming services, especially Kafka.Basic Compensation: $115, 600 - $173,300 (For Colorado Springs Only)The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. Additional Compensation:KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
