Job Summary
As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with disabilities in a residential home setting. Your primary responsibility will be to assist him with daily activities and provide her with the necessary care and support promote independence and overall quality of life.

Duties
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in activities of daily living as needed.

- Assist with ISP and ensure individuals' needs are met effectively.

- Engage with individual verbally. Individual like to be heard and acknowledged. Does not like to be ignored.

- transportation to activities in the community. Like car rides and parks or YMCA.

- Respect and uphold individuals rights and dignity at all times.

- Engage individual in social activities and promote a physical and mentally supportive environment.

- Provide assistance with required HPC tasks daily. Complete thorough and accurate documentation.

-Provide assistance with meal preps, showers, hygiene, and emotional support. Must have experience with behavioral support

-Provide motivation and assistance for individual to adhere to an assigned cleaning schedule. Staff to complete if needed.

Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a similar caregiving role is preferred especially with behavioral support.
- Ability to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in a compassionate and respectful manner.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Certification or training in medication administration is required.

-A proven ability to adher to A Steady Hand's policies and complete all required trainings in a timely manner.

- Must have a Vehicle. Individual loves car rides and driving around

- High school Diploma

- First Aid and CPR

- Car insurance

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

• Wednesday : 8am - 4pm

• Saturday : 8am - 4pm

• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Every weekend
• Holidays
• Sunday to Saturday ( 7 days a week )
• Night shift
• Overnight shift
• Overtime
