Travel Registered NurseTravel Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum of 5 years required License: Valid State RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with patient ratios of 4:1 - Familiarity with charting systems Description: We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse to join our Family Birth Center. The unit provides comprehensive care across labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn services, including newborn stabilization for transport. The ideal candidate is adaptable and clinically confident. They must be committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a supportive, team-oriented rural LDRP setting. The Family Birth Center averages approximately 225 births annually. Required skills include: - Administration of blood and blood products - Assisting with high-risk deliveries and vaginal deliveries - Postpartum hemorrhage management - Neonatal assessment and newborn care - Use of external and internal fetal monitoring Daily census includes patients of various age groups, including neonates, adolescents, and adults. The unit has a total of 5 beds and provides interdisciplinary support from various services. Patient diagnoses treated include obstetric triage, gestational diabetes, and stabilization of newborns for transport. Special procedures include fetal monitoring, newborn screening exams, and magnesium sulfate administration. The work environment is dynamic and requires flexibility to assist with census-related needs.
