2A (Mother Baby) Registered NurseThe 2A (Mother baby) RN is responsible for providing comprehensive care to new mothers and their babies, including monitoring maternal and newborn vital signs, administering medication and providing education on breastfeeding, infant care and maternal recovery. They also play a crucial role in identifying and addressing any complications that may arise during the postpartum period, while working closely with obstetricians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure that new mothers and their babies receive the best possible care.The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this position:Current unrestricted North Carolina RN license or RN multi-state licensure privilege through the Nurse Licensure Compact.Graduate of an accredited nursing school, AD degree in nursing, BSNOne year of experience within a Women and Children's Service line preferred.BLS (upon hire)ACLS (within 90 days of hire)NRP (within 60 days of hire)AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring – Basic (within 60 days of hire)Recommended Skills: S.T.A.B.L.E.Additional Skills Required:Communicates effectively with a wide range of age groups, and ethnic, educational, and socioeconomic backgrounds.Demonstrates knowledge of physical assessment skills.Displays effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize with accuracy and speed.
