Commercial insurance broker

Our client is an independent Property & Casualty insurance brokerage serving both Personal and Commercial Lines. As the company continues to grow, they are looking for a Commercial Lines Insurance Broker to join their dynamic team in La Prairie . In this role, you will advise a diverse portfolio of business clients, manage existing accounts, develop new business and negotiate the best insurance solutions with various carriers. What We Offer Base salary starting at $70,000 per year , depending on experience; 30% commission on your sales ; Annual bonus between $5,000 and $10,000 , based on company performance; Strong focus on work-life balance ; 4 paid Fridays off during the summer ; Hybrid work model , with 3 days per week in the office; Monday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; 3 weeks of vacation per year or more , depending on experience; 1 additional week off during the holiday season ; Full computer equipment provided by the employer; 100% independent brokerage , working with approximately 20 insurance carriers; A friendly, family-oriented and people-focused environment . Your Day-to-Day Manage a commercial portfolio with approximately $500,000 to $700,000 in book volume ; Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse commercial client base; Analyze your clients' needs and risks to provide tailored insurance solutions ; Negotiate with various insurance carriers to obtain the best possible coverage and terms; Process and follow up on policy changes, rating and client requests ; Focus on client retention and long-term relationships; Manage renewals and provide professional advice to insureds; Shop and compare quotes with the brokerage's various insurance carriers; Respond to client calls and inquiries regarding their policies and accounts; Prepare quotes and new business opportunities ; Identify business development opportunities within your existing portfolio; Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire client relationship; Collaborate with insurance carriers and various stakeholders to find effective solutions. What You Bring Strong negotiation and persuasion skills ; A passion for providing excellent customer service while developing new business; A solution-oriented, results-driven and proactive approach; Comfortable with consultative selling and upselling ; Strong ability to manage multiple files and priorities; Enjoy working with a diverse commercial client base; Energetic, autonomous and professional. Who You Are You hold a valid AMF licence in Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Insurance — mandatory; You have a minimum of 3 years of Commercial Lines insurance experience ; Energetic, empathetic and an excellent communicator; Able to make clients feel comfortable and build strong, long-term professional relationships; Fluent in both French and English, spoken and written — mandatory.
