Mental Health Therapist II, III, or Licensed Sea Mar Community Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Health Center committed to comprehensive services for diverse communities. We are recruiting for the following position: Position Summary The Mental Health Therapist (MHT) provides individual and group counseling, case management, crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment, and treatment planning. The therapist coordinates with medication providers, primary care physicians, and other community agencies, and may encounter clients outside the office and in the community. The role requires diagnosing mental health issues and developing treatment plans based on diagnoses, with willingness to work some hours after 5pm. Licensed Mental Health Therapist Provide diagnostic assessments, referrals for psychiatric services, and case management in coordination with other teams. Provide care to chronically ill patients, intensive outpatient program patients, and high utilizers. Coordinate with CDMHPs, inpatient facilities (e.g., Western State Hospital) and ensure hospitalization authorization and discharge planning protocols. Offer individual counseling, crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment, treatment plans, lead groups. Provide therapy to managed care patients under pre-authorization. Provide clinical supervision to clinicians pursuing license requirements; assist Program Manager and clinical supervisor with chart reviews. Support agency compliance with WACs, RCWs, and clinical contracts. Educational & Experience (Licensed) Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work with coursework in psychological diagnostics. Four or more years of clinical experience. Active, approved Washington State Department of Health license at all times (Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Independent Clinical Social Worker). Meet criteria for Mental Health Professional. Responsible for continuing education hours and licensing fees. Mental Health Therapist III Provide diagnostic assessments, referrals, case management, individual counseling, crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment, treatment plans, and lead groups. Assist Program Manager with program development, policy and procedure development, compliance with WACs and RCWs, and other administrative tasks. Educational & Experience (Mental Health Therapist III) Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work with coursework in psychological diagnostics. Four or more years of experience. Active Washington State Mental Health Associate License (including Marriage & Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, Clinical Social Worker). Meet criteria for Mental Health Professional. Mental Health Therapist II Provide diagnostic assessments, referrals, case management, individual counseling, crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment, treatment plans, and lead groups. Assist Director with program development, policy and procedure development, compliance with WACs and RCWs, and other administrative tasks. Educational & Experience (Mental Health Therapist II) Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work with coursework in psychological diagnostics. Up to three years of experience. Active Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor License (may be pending for up to 60 days if applied for within 7 days) or Mental Health Associate License. Meet criteria for Mental Health Professional; Minority mental health therapist as required by WAC. Additional Requirements Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire; maintain current BLS CPR throughout employment. Maintain current TB test. Minority mental health therapist as required by WAC (for MHT III and II).
